The City of Carlsbad Police Department has launched a summer traffic safety campaign along Carlsbad Boulevard to help ensure residents and visitors alike can enjoy Carlsbad’s coastline safely.
In addition to an increased presence of traffic enforcement officers who will be watching for speed violations, officers will be reminding pedestrians, bicyclists, motorcyclists and drivers to pay extra attention to the roadway and remove all distractions.
The Police Department’s message highlights the importance of working in collaboration so all who use our beaches, trails and recreation areas can safely enjoy their time in Carlsbad.
The community will also see bike patrol officers in the village, around parks and on the seawall. This summertime patrol allows officers to easily navigate busy streets and sidewalks.
