City of Escondido Water Professionals Week

It is Water Professionals Week! The City of Escondido supplies water to approximately 26,000 residential, commercial, and agricultural customers with water from the Escondido-Vista Water Treatment Plant.
• The Canals Division maintains the Escondido Canal, which transfers water from Lake
Henshaw to Lake Wohlford.
• The Water Division maintains and operates the water distribution system, consisting of approximately 26,000 service meters, 440 miles of pipelines, 50 pressure- reducing/regulating stations, five pump stations, and 11 reservoirs.
• The Lakes Division also operates Escondido’s two lakes, Dixon and Wohlford, for
recreational purposes and water storage and supply.
