WHAT: The City of Oceanside is hosting a grand opening of four new beach volleyball courts at Harbor Beach. Visit Oceanside is sponsoring the courts to help provide ongoing preventative maintenance and keep the nets up at all times for open community play.
WHY: The City recognized a growing need for beach volleyball courts at the Harbor to accommodate boys and girls high school teams. The Parks and Recreation Department also wanted to provide courts that the community could use at any time. The nets can be easily raised and lowered to accommodate all levels of play.
WHERE: Harbor Beach, 1370 N. Pacific Street, Oceanside, CA.
WHO: Interviewing opportunities with Mayor Esther Sanchez and Visit Oceanside President and CEO Leslee Gaul. Players from Oceanside Highschool, Coastal Academy, and Mission Vista High School beach volleyball teams will be on site to play on the new courts.
