As the new school year kicks off, the City of San Marcos invites all residents to join in keeping our streets safe. Whether you drive, walk, or ride, everyone plays a part in road safety.
Parents, talk to your kids about safe riding and walking, especially when using bikes and e-bikes. It’s vital they know and follow the rules of the road.
Drivers, slow down in school zones, stay alert, avoid distractions, and give riders and pedestrians space.
Walkers and riders, make sure you’re visible, use lights, wear bright or reflective clothing, follow traffic laws, and yield when required so every trip is safe.
Residents are encouraged to review local guidelines, including helmet requirements, bike lane use, and compliance with all traffic controls.
