The City of Vista continues to allocate and award funds for public service programs to assist low-income persons. During their March 22, 2022 meeting, the City Council approved $167,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to Vista nonprofits that provide vital services to the community.
The CDBG program is funded from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for housing and community development activities to assist low-income persons. The total 2022/23 operating budget in the CDBG program administered by the City’s Housing Division is $1.1 million.
The 2022-2023 recipient agencies are listed below. The program awards funding to nonprofits that serve Vista residents.
