City of Vista Seeking Input on Two Proposed Parks

Through the Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program, the State is awarding $395 million for the creation of new parks and new recreation opportunities in underserved communities across California. Projects in neighborhoods with little park space will be prioritized.

The City of Vista is applying for support to develop two new parks:

* a neighborhood pocket park in the Townsite neighborhood, and
* a joint dog and general recreation park off of Breeze Hill Road.
Community input is important to the City of Vista and when applying for the grant. The community’s opinion matters. The City is hosting several virtual and in-person (in compliance with County COVID-19 health orders) community meetings and engagement opportunities and also invites individual feedback through a survey.
