Vista, CA- The San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) Board of Trustees renewed the charter for Classical Academy Vista (TK-8th grade) for five more years on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. As part of the state-mandated renewal process, all charter schools go through a review every five years, and a local Board votes to deny or approve them.
“These are challenging times for public charter schools, and we are pleased that the Board of Trustees with the San Diego County Office of Education values the quality and excellence of Classical Academy, Vista,” stated The Classical Academies Chief Executive Officer, Cameron Curry.
“The decision to approve a 5-year renewal for the school speaks to the commitment to doing what is right for students, parents, and the community.”
“I am so pleased the Board of Trustees recognizes and values the work we have accomplished for students in our community,” stated Classical Academy Principal Kirsten Lasto. “We serve many diverse and non-traditional learners who will continue to succeed thanks to the Board’s decision.”
