Coastal Academy Student Raj Pabari Honored as National First-Place Winner of InvestWrite Competition
At 14-years old, 8th-grade student Raj Pabari channeled his inner financial advisor to become the national first-place winner of SIFMA Foundation’s Spring 2018 InvestWrite® competition. Pabari’s remarkable essay on how to help Berkshire Hathaway manage its assets for maximum short and long-term sustainability, and why he would like to work there, positioned him at the top of thousands of students competing nationwide.
InvestWrite is a national essay competition started in 2004 that serves as a culminating activity for students taking part in the SIFMA Foundation’s Stock Market Game ™. Raj is among the 20,000 students each year to participate in InvestWrite which integrates classroom learning in mathematics, social studies, and language arts with the practical research and knowledge required for long-term personal financial planning.
As the middle school first place winner, Raj is awarded a three-day all-expense paid trip to New York City with his teacher, Jennifer Pelling, and his parents
