Vista Community Clinic (VCC) is now offering the flu vaccine to all patients, 6 months and older, at all of its healthcare locations. Each clinic has its own set of flu clinic hours where dedicated clinic personnel will give flu shots for quick and convenient visits and take walk-ins, but patients are also able to receive the shot at any of their normal visits. At VCC: Vale Terrace, in Vista, patients and community members, who are 18 and older, are able to receive their flu shot via a drive-through set up on the following Saturdays: November 13 and 20, from 9am – 2pm.
Experts are encouraging everyone get a flu shot this year to avoid a “twindemic” as COVID variants and the flu virus threaten health at the same time. The flu vaccine will be free for VCC patients; $15 for community residents and $50 for residents receiving the high dose vaccine – specific to ages 65 and older.
Community residents can stay updated by following VCC on social media (@VistaCommunityClinic) or by checking the events portion of the clinic’s website at www.vcc.org.
