SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women’s basketball team is back in the D2SIDA Top 25 National Media Poll this week, popping in at No. 25 on Tuesday. CSUSM is also receiving votes in the latest WBCA Top 25 Coaches Poll.
The Cougars are boasting an 11-2 overall record with both losses coming from two current top-25 teams – No. 10 Western Washington and No. 18 Cal State East Bay.
CSUSM debuted the season at No. 25 in the D2SIDA Women’s Basketball Preseason Poll and reached No. 19 in the first poll released on Nov. 15.
The Cougars are one win shy of tying their best start in program history set in 2019-20 at 12-2.
With a seven-game win streak on the line, the RV/No. 25 Cougars return to The Sports Center this week to host San Francisco State on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
