SAN MARCOS, Calif. – With the 2021 season nearing, CSUSM Head Volleyball Coach Andrea Leonard announced her team’s 2021 schedule on Thursday.
“We are very excited and ready to be back together on the court competing for CSUSM,” Leonard said. “The pause has given us time to reflect and work on things we would not have had the chance to strengthen and improve. We are reminded of how much we miss the team comradery, striving together for a common goal and the family unity volleyball gives us.”
The Cougars will begin their 18-match CCAA schedule by hosting Cal State Monterey Bay on Sept. 16 at The Sports Center and will conclude the opening weekend of conference play at home against San Francisco State on Sept. 18.
After going on the road to face Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State San Bernardino on Sept. 24 and 25, CSUSM will return to The Sports Center for a four-match homestand against Chico State, Stanislaus State, Humboldt State and Sonoma State on Oct. 1-9.
The Cougars will head to travel partner Cal State East Bay on Oct. 14 before returning to San Marcos to face the Pioneers once again on Oct. 16.
CSUSM will hit the road for four consecutive away contests against Cal State LA, Cal State Dominguez Hills, Stanislaus State and Chico State on Oct. 22-30.
The Cougars will return to The Sports Center for their final two home games on Nov. 4 and 6 against Cal State San Bernardino and Cal Poly Pomona.
CSUSM will wrap up the regular season on the road at San Francisco State and Cal State Monterey Bay on Nov. 12 and 13.
Should the Cougars qualify for postseason play, they’ll head to San Bernardino for the 2021 CCAA Tournament on Nov. 18-20 at Coussoulis Arena.
