SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men’s soccer team earned another point with a 1-1 draw against Sonoma State on Sunday afternoon at The Cage.

HOW IT HAPPENED •SSU got on the board at the end of the first half when Field’s shot bounced over CSUSM keeper from dead center.
•Off a corner by Morrison, Martin finished the play with a hard kick to the far right corner.
•Taylor Koptieff had nearly had a golden goal with 10 seconds remaining in the second overtime, but SSU’s keeper Arturo Ornelas made a great save.
QUICK KICKS •CSUSM earned its first tie of 2018, moving to 6-2-1 on the season and 2-1-1 in CCAA action. The Seawolves are now 2-5-3 overall and 0-4-2 in conference play.
•Justin Tesar recorded seven saves while facing 15 shots in the contest.
•SSU outshot the Cougars 15-14 while CSUSM held a slight advantage in corners at 8-5.
•Juan Camilo Salazar tallied six shots with two on frame.
•Martin notched his fourth goal of the season.
