An investigation is underway after a deadly train collision occurred on the Sprinter train tracks between Vista Village Dr. and Guajome St in the city of Vista.
The train collision occurred at approximately 4:59 a.m., near mile post marker 109.5, on North County Transit District train tracks that travel from Oceanside Transit Center to the Escondido Transit Center. Sheriff’s Deputies from the Vista Patrol Station and fire personnel responded to the scene and declared the involved subject deceased from obvious signs of death due to the injuries he sustained.
The Sheriff’s Transit Enforcement Unit (TEU) investigates incidents that occur along the routes of the North County Transit District. San Diego Sheriff’s Department TEU responded to the scene to conduct the investigation.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will make a positive identification of the involved subject, as well as determine cause and manner of death pending notification of his family.

Peatón atropellado por el tren Sprinter de NCTD.
Se está llevando a cabo una investigación después de que se produjera una colisión mortal de trenes en las vías del tren Sprinter entre Vista Village Dr. y Guajome St en la ciudad de Vista.
La colisión de trenes ocurrió aproximadamente a las 4:59 a.m., cerca del marcador de milla 109.5, en las vías del tren del Distrito de Tránsito del Norte del Condado que viajan desde el Centro de Tránsito de Oceanside hasta el Centro de Tránsito de Escondido. Los agentes del alguacil de la estación de patrulla de Vista y el personal de bomberos respondieron a la escena y declararon que el sujeto involucrado había fallecido por signos evidentes de muerte debido a las lesiones que sufrió.
La Unidad de Cumplimiento de Tránsito del Sheriff (TEU, por sus siglas en inglés) investiga los incidentes que ocurren a lo largo de las rutas del Distrito de Tránsito del Norte del Condado. El Departamento del Sheriff de San Diego respondió a la escena para llevar a cabo la investigación.
La Oficina del Médico Forense hará una identificación positiva del sujeto involucrado, así como determinará la causa y la forma de muerte hasta que se notifique a su familia.
