Join the Oceanside Public Library and the Oceanside Historical Society for a special event, Dear Diaries: Oceanside Edition, exploring Oceanside’s history. This event will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at the Civic Center Library, 330 N Coast Hwy. Learn about unique Oceanside history through a theatrical reading, by local actors, of past diaries. These diaries were written by real-life residents, William Webster Borden and Rebecca Foss, who lived in Oceanside around the late 1800s to early 1900s. Hear excerpts of their diaries read aloud and come away with greater insight into what it was truly like to live in North County well over a hundred years ago.
This free event will be held in the heart of the Oceanside CA Cultural District in partnership with the Oceanside Historical Society and Oceanside Public Library, and sponsored by the Friends of the Oceanside Public Library.
