The Vista Public Art Commission is pleased to announce that the show, New Work 2017: A Photographic Juried Show is now on display at the Vista Civic Gallery through December 20th. The gallery is located on the second floor of the Vista Civic Center at 200 Civic Center Drive, Vista, CA 92084. The gallery hours are Monday- Thursday, 7:30- 5:30pm and alternate Fridays from 7:30- 4:30.
The show was juried by Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist Don Bartletti and the Vista Public Art Commission Vice Chair and photo educator Kelly Moncure. The highly competitive show features work by 27 artists throughout San Diego and Orange County, including professional photographers, photography professors, and emerging photographers.
There will be an awards ceremony and artists reception on Tuesday, December 5th from 4- 6 pm that is free and open to the public. Awards include cash awards for the first, second and third place, two honorable mentions, and a special Digital Darkroom honorable mention award presented by MacPhun.
