The El Camino High School Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (MCJROTC) program has earned the distinguished title of Naval Honor School, a recognition reserved for the top-performing JROTC units in the nation.

The designation places El Camino’s cadets among an elite group recognized for outstanding achievement in academics, leadership, and community service, as well as participation in competitive activities such as drill and rifle competitions.

“This is a really big deal for our school and our community,” said El Camino High Principal Eileen Frazier. “It reflects the dedication of our cadets and instructors, and it comes with opportunities that could shape the future for many of our students.”

One of the most significant benefits of the honor is the ability for the Senior Marine Instructor to nominate up to six cadets for appointments to prestigious service academies, including the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and the U.S. Air Force Academy.

The Naval Honor School designation is not only a mark of distinction but also a pathway to expanded opportunities for El Camino’s cadets, underscoring the program’s commitment to preparing students for success in both military and civilian careers.
