Artwork by Marsha Bokka Fine Art — This Summer, Art in the Village would have celebrated its 22nd consecutive year. Nearly 75 artists were signed up by the first of the year, with more waiting to join, excited about this annual event that draws more and more attention every season to the incredible local and regional art scene we have cultivated. But, the current health pandemic made it impossible to host a large event that brings well over 5,000 people to Carlsbad Village for this one day, open-air art show. Thankfully, we’ve created a solution to help you connect with the amazing artists who were so looking forward to presenting their artwork. We’ve gone online!
You can now see the wide variety of artwork provided by the Art in the Village artists by clicking on Virtual Art Show. Here you will find artwork by category (painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, etc.) and by artist’s name as well. Contact information for each artist, as well as links to their social media and websites can also be found in most cases. Artists are encouraged to add new images to keep their virtual art show fresh and to allow you to connect with them again and again to stay abreast of their work. The gallery will remain available through Art in the Village 2021 next Summer, so please visit often!
Our artist community was hard hit by the health pandemic, just like any small business. The Carlsbad Village Association is hoping that this virtual art show will help introduce you to new artists and help you stay connected to your favorites. They need your support now more than ever, and are all looking forward to seeing you in person at Art in the Village 2021.
