San Marcos, CA – Erickson-Hall Construction Co. and Palomar College in San Marcos, California, will celebrate the topping off of the Palomar College Athletics Stadiums on September 20th at 1:30 p.m.
The scope of this project encompasses the construction of a new football stadium and a new softball stadium on the existing Palomar Community College main campus. The new football stadium will house a press box with an elevator, a masonry storage building, and synthetic turf playing surface. The new softball stadium will include a press box, individual stadium seating, bullpens, batting cages, a field house, masonry dugouts, and an all natural turf outfield with clay infield playing surfaces.
“Erickson-Hall has extensive experience in the construction of athletic facilities specifically for schools, and we are excited about the tremendous work in progress,” said Dr. Star Rivera-Lacey, Superintendent/President of Palomar College. “These two new stadiums represent an incredible opportunity to serve our student athletes and our surrounding communities.”
The Palomar College Athletics Stadiums project has been a collaborative effort that brought together Erickson-Hall Construction Co. and the Palomar Community College District.
“Being chosen to construct these new and important facilities for Palomar College is an honor,” said Mat Gates, President of Erickson-Hall. “Our team is working hard to deliver two innovative stadiums for Palomar College, each that provides spaces for student-athletes to train, compete and enjoy, and for spectators to watch various sports with exceptional visibility.”
