On March 30, Councilmember Consuelo Martinez rode along with Battalion Chief Jeff Sargis for several hours. The Councilmember experienced field operations including responding to several emergency calls along with the engine and ambulance crews.
On Saturday, April 1, Escondido Fire hosted over 80 Firefighter Candidate Testing Center (FCTC) candidates, from all over the state, for written testing at the Police & Fire Headquarters Community room. The FCTC is a one-stop resource for firefighter candidates and offers a Candidate Physical Ability (CPAT), Statewide listings placement, Mentoring and Career Guidance, in addition to written testing at locations in both Northern and Southern California.
Escondido Firefighters were on hand to meet and greet the candidates. Our own Captain David Abraham spoke with each group to discuss what Escondido Fire can offer and the benefits of working for our great City.
