Thank you to our Public Works staff, who work around the clock during storm events (and year round) to keep our roads and City moving!
We have additional wind, rain, and low temperatures in the forecast for the rest of the week.
Make sure you are prepared ahead of time by visiting readysandiego.com and remember the following:
• Sandbags: If you are an Escondido resident and need sandbags for your property, you can visit Kit Carson Park and fill ten bags for free. Residents will need to bring identification, as well as their own shovels and be prepared to fill the sandbags themselves. escondido.org/where-to-get-sand-bags
• Report It!: The ReportIt! app is a real time mobile civic engagement platform for Escondido residents. Report It! provides a free and simple way for people to use their smartphones to report community problems such as graffiti, potholes, down trees, and more. Download it from your phone’s app store today. www.escondido.org/report-it
• Use caution while driving, and allow extra time to arrive at your destination. Always use
your headlights when your windshield wipers are on. Never attempt to cross flooded
roadways in your vehicle or on foot.
