The City of Escondido’s Recycling Division is hosting a FREE e-waste recycling and document shredding event this Saturday, June 3. Come anytime between 9 a.m. and noon to drop off your old electronics as well as 2 bankers boxes of documents to be shredded (no appliances).
Location: Parking Lot at Emmanuel Faith Community Church, 639 E. 17th Ave. (specific location is at the corner of 17th and Encino Drive).
Public Works Partnerships
The City of Escondido Public Works Department along with partners, Caltrans and Urban Corps, worked together last week to clean up debris along the I15 and the Escondido
Promenade. These teams coordinate ongoing, weekly efforts to clean bordering areas.
Last week these agencies collectively removed over 50 yards of debris and abandoned items from culverts and roadways to improve appearance, ensure proper drainage and protect habitat. The City of Escondido prides itself in forging new partnerships, while maintaining existing relationships with partner agencies for a comprehensive approach towards keeping our City clean.
