On Sunday June 16, Police and Fire units were dispatched to the Starbucks at Broadway and Lincoln Avenue. On arrival, units found a single vehicle had travelled through a floor to ceiling window before stopping in the dining area. Firefighters assessed 5 people; two adults were transported by ambulance to Palomar Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Also, on Sunday the 16, Escondido Fire Brush unit 8334 was dispatched to the Post Fire in L.A. County as part of Strike Team 6848C. This fire started Saturday afternoon and is currently mapped at over 15,000 acres.

On June 13, Police and Fire units were dispatched to the 2nd Avenue and Juniper for a report of a vehicle into a structure. Police Officers arrived and advised a van occupied by at least a dozen people had been involved in a traffic accident and careened into the building on the southeast corner of the intersection.

Firefighters arrived and quickly determined the building was stable and the vehicles involved did not present a hazard. They then performed triage and treatment on all the passengers from the involved van. Four Escondido Fire ambulances and 1 San Marcos ambulance transported 13 patients with mostly minor injuries to Palomar Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
