Escondido’s Fire Department Update

On May 21, the Escondido Downtown Business Association hosted the Escondido Street Festival on Grand Ave. The Escondido Fire Volunteers set up a stand full of great information for the public and fun items for the kids.

On April 20, crews and personnel from Escondido Fire attended the graduation for the 63rd Basic Fire Academy at the Palomar College Safety Center. The graduation was the summation of the State Certified Firefighter 1 Academy taking place full time over the entire semester. The graduation included multiple demonstrations to familiarize friends and family with fireground skills and tactics. Escondido Fire’s two newest Firefighters, FFPM Steven Crase and FFPM Dallas Prather, both previous EMT’s/Paramedics with Escondido Fire, graduated and will be joining the Escondido Fire in their new ranks in the next few weeks.
