Fire Season
The 2024 fire season has already produced a number of fires both locally and afar. Escondido firefighters have been deployed to several cities to assist, including the Lake Fire in Santa Barbara. Their safety is important to us and we keep in close communication with them during these deployments. We are pleased to report our firefighters are doing well, helping make an impact and are safe.
Structure Fire
On July 13, fire crews from Station 6, along with San Marcos Fire, were dispatched to respond and assist Rancho Santa Fe Fire Protection District with a working structure fire on Questhaven Rd. The fire presented challenges, which included a water supply issue and an extensive overhaul operation. Firefighters were resilient and worked together to swiftly extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported.
