Vehicle Burglary

On August 17, residents called police to report a man stealing items inside a parked vehicle. He was contacted and arrested for being under the influence of drugs. Officers contacted the owner of the vehicle and learned the owner left it there due to lack of gas and no money to fill his tank. The officers picked him up at his home, filled his car with gas and sent him on his way.

Congratulations

On August 16, the Escondido Police Department had four recruits graduate from the 130th San Diego Regional Police Academy. Congratulations to our newest officers who started orientation and will head in to field training.
