The 2021 Fall Fun Festival at Alta Vista Botanical Gardens was a GREAT day with 1000 people (including vendors and volunteers) attending!
Our 13th Fall Festival featured GREAT teamwork including AVBG Board members, members of The Woman’s Club of Vista GFWC, and 80 student volunteers from Vista High School, Mission Vista High School, Rancho Buena Vista High School, Palomar College, and the Miss Vista Pageant.
Moving in for a year of display in the Children’s Garden is a GREAT new collection of 40 scarecrows which were constructed at home again this year. Excited and eager families enjoyed their creative time together and echoed time and time again, “We had so much fun!” The new lineup of scarecrow visitors will welcome all to the Children’s Garden until August 2022.
Scarecrow contest winners are … Drumroll please!

Publicity was posted in online and print news outlets, along with a month-long blitz on Facebook created by two AVBG volunteers, Dana Kern and Joey Schmitt. The AVBG Facebook page is www.fb.com/vistaavbg The AVBG website is altavistabotanicalgardens.org
A hard year was made a bit easier for our community – we encouraged creativity and family time, we shared time outdoors in nature, and we had tremendous support from local businesses and schools.
