On August 30, 2020, at about 5:25 PM, deputies assigned to the Fallbrook Substation responded to East Mission Road and Iowa Street after multiple reporting parties called 911 to report that a male had been shot. Deputies immediately arrived on scene and discovered an adult male victim suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his lower leg. Several subjects were seen fleeing the location.
