>Fish House Vera Cruz has closed its doors after being in business for 47 years. Rex and Karen Butler opened the restaurant in 1979, in their early twenties, they tirelessly worked and stayed dedicated for the love of the restaurant and the people who worked there and came through the doors. Fish House Vera Cruz has remained a family-owned small business since its start with Rex, ordering fish every day to fill our fish market and serve our customers. Every story has an end and this is now time for ours. We did all that we could to remain open for our employees and community, but unfortunately the time has come to close our doors.
Fish House Vera Cruz in San Marcos has employed over 3,700 employees since its opening. The success of the restaurant wouldn’t have been possible without the support and dedication of the managers and all the employees who created a welcoming community for customers to enjoy themselves and keep coming back to.
To every customer who ever dined with us, we want to THANK YOU. Some of you are neighbors, friends, family, employees and the surrounding community, without your support and love for having the freshest seafood grilled over mesquite, these 47 years wouldn’t have been possible. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your commitment to support our family-owned restaurant. We appreciate you and will never forget all these years.
