Ghost Gun Arrest – Vista

A man is in custody after pointing a ghost gun at several people in Vista.

It happened on Tuesday, December 5 around 11:00 p.m. in the parking lot of a movie theater located at 25 Main Street.

Deputies from the Vista Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a man driving erratically and pointing a firearm at several people. Deputies found the suspect driving in the parking lot behind the movie theater. When they tried to arrest the suspect, he exited his vehicle and ran from deputies.

The suspect was located about a mile away in the 800 block of Eucalyptus Avenue. A search of the man’s car revealed a loaded ghost gun modified to shoot automatic gunfire, a high-capacity magazine and ammunition.

Jeremy Fuerte (DOB 07/08/1997) was arrested and booked into the Vista Detention Facility. He is facing multiple felony charges, including assault with a deadly weapon and illegally possessing a ghost gun.

So far in 2023, the Vista Gang Enforcement Team has confiscated 17 ghost guns.
