Grants Available for Agricultural Projects

The City of Carlsbad is now accepting grant applications for agricultural, coastal and lagoon projects covered by its Agricultural Conversion Mitigation Fee program, which collects money from developers when agricultural lands in the coastal zone are converted for development.

“The goal of this program is to reinvest in the community by enabling organizations and individuals to pursue projects that will enhance the City of Carlsbad’s quality of life in environmentally advantageous ways,” said Pam Drew, an associate planner who helps administer the program for the City of Carlsbad.
