The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is partnering with the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office, City of San Marcos, Oceanside Police Department, Palomar College Police Department, Escondido Police Department, Carlsbad Police Department, California State University Police Department and Project ChildSafe to get unwanted guns off our streets.

Turn in your unwanted gun and receive a gift card ($100 for handguns, rifles and shotguns and $200 for assault weapons and ghost guns). Remain anonymous. No questions asked.
Firearms must be in working order.
Place the unloaded firearm in the trunk of your vehicle.
A deputy or officer will provide instructions.
All weapons collected will be destroyed.
We are also providing FREE cable locks (while supplies last) to people looking to secure firearms kept in their homes.
