VISTA, CA (June 25, 2024) — Aaron Byzak, a lifelong resident of the Tri-City area and a distinguished healthcare executive and community leader, is excited to announce his candidacy for the Tri-City Healthcare District Board of Directors in the November 2024 election. With deep roots in the community and an extensive background in healthcare and community service, Byzak is committed to driving meaningful change and enhancing the quality of care at Tri-City Medical Center.

Born at Tri-City Medical Center and raised in Carlsbad, Byzak has lived his entire life in the Tri-City Healthcare District cities of Carlsbad, Oceanside, and Vista. His professional journey includes seven years providing patient care in Emergency Medical Services, seven years serving as a health policy advisor to state and local officials representing North County, and over 15 years in healthcare executive roles at both Tri-City Medical Center and UC San Diego Health. Byzak’s experience, extensive formal education, and track record of accomplishment in tackling priority community issues uniquely positions him to advocate for improved healthcare services and ensure the success of the new partnership between Tri-City Healthcare District and an affiliate health system partner, including UC San Diego Health.

Byzak’s campaign focuses on key issues such as enhancing healthcare quality, significantly elevating the patient experience, and redeveloping the hospital’s Oceanside campus. He is committed to restoring community confidence in Tri-City Medical Center and making it a trusted healthcare destination.
