Tri-City Healthcare District proposes to join with Sharp HealthCare to become North County’s flagship medical campus and to expand access to primary and specialty care for the benefit of the residents of our community.
They have had five Community Forums to explain what this partner would look like. This Thursday, Dec 4, 2025, 12:00 PM, is another opportunity to hear from Tri-City Medical Center CEO Dr. Ma and a Sharp representative about their potential partnership.

Vista Mayor Franklin, “Tri-City Hospital is critical to the people of Vista. As a public district, it serves community needs that other providers do not. Tri-City’s new psychiatric health facility is an excellent example of those needs. At the same time, Tri-City has struggled to avoid operating deficits. I am hopeful that a partnership between Tri-City and Sharp Healthcare can guarantee the fiscal health and excellence in medicine that we expect from our community hospital.”
