On Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at approximately 12:22 p.m., deputies at the Rancho San Diego Sheriff’s Station responded to multiple calls of a shooting in the 8700 block of Troy Street in Spring Valley.
When deputies arrived, they learned an adult male gunshot victim was transported to a local hospital by three concerned citizens. The victim was treated at the hospital, but he did not survive.
The Sheriff’s Homicide Unit responded to investigate the death. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification to his family.
The investigation is in the early stages and is ongoing. There is no one in custody for this incident.
