The San Diego Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred on the evening of February 17, 2025, in the 20200 block of Rancho Villa Rd. At approximately 8:58 p.m., Ramona deputies responded to a radio call reporting an assault with a deadly weapon at a residence in the area.
Upon arrival, deputies found an approximately 50-year-old Hispanic female inside the residence with multiple stab wounds. Life-saving measures were administered by the deputies until Cal Fire paramedics arrived. Despite their efforts, the female succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Sheriff’s Homicide Unit responded and has assumed responsibility of the investigation. At this stage of the investigation, the motivation and circumstances of the homicide are still unclear. Currently there is no suspect information. Sheriff’s Homicide investigators are working to gather more information to determine the facts of the case.
