On 12/26/23, at about 10:20 p.m., deputies responded to the 100 block of N. Twin Oaks Valley Road in San Marcos, reference a stabbing. Upon their arrival, they discovered one adult female victim with a stab wound. Medical aid was provided and the victim was transported to the hospital. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased. The victim’s identity is not being released at this time.
Deputies detained the suspect at the location of the crime. Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are conducting an investigation and gathering more evidence. At this stage of the investigation, the motivation and circumstances of the crime are still under investigation. There are no outstanding suspects and no apparent danger to the community.
