Honor a Loved One by Sponsoring a Sea Animal or Plant

The Ocean Glass Mosaic Mural is in its final stages. Thanks to the support of our Oceanside community, this head-turning public art piece is expected to be installed in 2021 on the corner of Mission Avenue and Ditmar Street across from the MainStreet Oceanside office in the Oceanside Cultural District. The 12-by-16-foot glass mosaic mural will represent a community of local sea life as it resides below the surface of the Pacific Ocean just off our beaches .

Residents and businesses have the opportunity to honor a loved one by sponsoring a sea animal or plant. Sponsorships are still available starting at $100 and vary based on sea life size and type, from starfish and sea grass up to the mural’s only giant Pacific octopus at $7,500. Sponsors will be recognized next to the mosaic mural on a plaque, which can feature the name of the donor or the donor’s family, an honoree, a group or a business.

Sponsorships can be made at the MainStreet office, 701 Mission Ave., where the sponsorship application is also available. Tax-deductible donations in any amount for Art that Excites can also be made to Main Street Foundation Inc.
