On July 28, 2020, Sili, Raider and their three young children joined us at Solutions Academy. Raider struggled with alcohol abuse, and Sili struggled with codependency. After Raider completed a sober living program, the family reunited at Solutions for Change in December 2020, just in time to have a home for the holidays. This marked their family’s first Christmas at Solutions for Change, and their first holiday under one roof!
“We were humbled and extremely grateful for the people who took the time to decorate our space and left gifts and messages for our family,” Sili said. Their son loved the lights that were strung up around campus, and their daughter still talks about everything she experienced that day.
One year later, Raider now works in construction in Oceanside while Sili works at the front desk of Solutions for Change, greeting volunteers, donors, program applicants and managing incoming donations!
Raider and Sili broke The Churn of homelessness, and have progressed to create many more firsts in 2021. Donate to Solutions for Change this holiday season to help us assist families like theirs in 2022!
