Metaphor, the indie rockers known for their local hit ‘This one’s for the losers,’ is returning to the stage at Vista’s AVO Playhouse Thursday, Nov. 20, after taking a much-needed touring break this summer.
Metaphor quickly gained fans throughout San Diego with its 2023 album, which rings with high-power guitar jams and lyrics about adolescent feelings. Among the band’s inspirations are Mac DeMarco, Peach Pit, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, Surf Curse, Title Fight, and Pinegrove.
Metaphor will be joined by two opening acts: North County’s Los Paisanos and Vista’s Boyce Hartsell.
Tickets are $15 online in advance of the event and $20 at the door. Each ticket holder receives unlimited free churros courtesy of Vista’s own Modern Churro! Beverages will also be sold onsite by the Vista Village Pub. No alcoholic beverages will be served to anybody under 21. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available.
