[San Diego, Calif.] – Intesa Communications Group, a certified Women Business Enterprise (WBE) proudly announced today the that hat higher education communications leader Margaret Lutz Chantung has joined the firm as the new Director of Strategic Communications, effective January 2024. With nearly two decades of experience, Margaret brings a wealth of expertise to enhance Intesa’s elite team of communications and governmental affairs professionals.
Chantung’s extensive background includes a remarkable 16-year career at California State University San Marcos (CSUSM), where she held key positions such as public information officer, senior director of communications and speechwriter, associate vice president of communications, and chief communications officer. Her leadership at CSUSM resulted in numerous university accolades and successful oversight of critical areas, including news and media relations, internal communications, branding and marketing communications, social media, crisis communications and executive communications.
