The Oceanside Morning Farmers Market has reopened in Downtown Oceanside. Operating as an essential service under the San Diego County public health order, the modified farmers market safely provides access to fresh, healthy and affordable food to our community while helping to support our area farms.
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekly, MainStreet Oceanside’s market now operates in three socially distanced sections from Ditmar Street to Tremont Street on Pier View Way, with two sections on the east side of North Coast Highway and one section on the west side of Coast Highway
Following local and state guidelines, the Oceanside Farmers Market has reopened as a no-touch market to ensure the safety and well-being of attendees and vendors.
•The market consists of farmers and prepackaged food only.
•The market has been divided into three sections, and only 50 people are allowed in each section of the market.
•Vendors are handling your selected produce or products for you.
•Hand-washing stations are in place throughout the market.
•Vendors are required to have hand-washing stations at their booths and to wear masks and gloves
•Social distancing is enforced inside the market.
•Masks are required to enter the market.
•No pets are allowed.
•On-site sampling is not allowed.
The restructured market provides an open-air, socially distanced and cart-free alternative to traditional grocery shopping in Downtown Oceanside.
When visiting, please follow these rules. They will keep the market open:
•Wear a mask. A mask is required for everyone.
•Follow directions from the market docents. They are helping us keep the market safe and open.
•Engage in no-touch shopping. Please point to the item you want to purchase, and the farmers and vendors will bag your produce and products for you.
•Avoid unnecessary physical contact. Please do not shake hands.
•Utilize cashless payments. These are strongly preferred.
•Practice social distancing. Please ensure you are staying a minimum of 6 feet from other people. We are enforcing this requirement.
•Get what you want and head home. We welcome you to the market and encourage you to get what you need, and then head home so others can use the market.
•Send a single shopper. To minimize the number of people on-site, please send only one member of your family attend the market.
•Leave your pets at home. Pets are not allowed at our no-touch market.
•Wash your hands. Please utilize the hand-washing stations placed throughout the venue.
•Stay home if you are sick. Please do not enter if you have a cough or a fever
