Keep Oceanside Beautiful!

The City of Oceanside promotes community cleanup events for residents and visitors throughout the year. Community cleanups are a great and easy way for everyone to get involved in their community, complete community service hours, and help serve as many areas as possible by removing debris, trash and illegally dumped items from City neighborhoods, parks, and beaches. Join us in beautifying Oceanside by participating in any of the below activities.

Events
The City’s Neighborhood Cleanup events are held in collaboration with Neighborhood Services, Code Enforcement and the Green Oceanside Team each year! There are two ways to participate:

Dump Day Cleanup: Do you have household goods and furniture beyond reuse and repair, or even illegally dumped junk at home or in your neighborhood? Bring them to the City’s Dump Day!
Recycling services will be available for e-waste (household appliances, printers, TVs, computers, etc. that often have cords or batteries).
Multiple landfill dumpsters will be available for furniture, mattresses, barbeques, home goods and other items beyond reuse or repair.
Dump Day is a, “First come, first served event,” and will shut down when maximum capacity is reached.

Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 9am – 12pm at John Landes Community Center, 2855 Cedar Rd.

Please keep in mind no household hazardous waste/tires will be accepted, but you can always schedule a household hazardous waste drop off appointment with Waste Management at (760) 439-2824

Volunteers Wanted – Help Clean the Community: On the day of the event, check in at the Green Oceanside booth with friends and family! Pick up gloves, bags, and other cleanup supplies, then walk through the local neighborhood, park, or surrounding area to help remove litter. Don’t forget to sign you liability waiver for these events.

Visit Green Oceanside’s Events Page for a full list of dates, and to see when we will be in YOUR neighborhood!
