The City of Vista is currently implementing Measure Z. Tuesday January 22, 2019 the first step to licensing was conducted at the Vista Civic Center in the Morris Vance Room. There were very strict procedures in the process. Each applicant had to have 2 cashiers checks made out to the City of Vista. A $100,000 check was needed for the deposit and the 2nd check for $9,368 was needed for the filing fee. The applicant also had to show a lease agreement and address diagrams for their store front location. 31 applications were received.
After the seven-day period for submitting applications is closed at 5pm on January 29, 2019, the City shall establish the priority list that identifies by name, address, date and time the order in which the applications were received based on the time-stamp applied to each application. Following the completion of the list, the City shall publish the list in a newspaper of general circulation and post the list to its website as required by Vista Municipal Code.
