SAN DIEGO, California, March 1, 2022 – LS Investment Management has expanded its financial services footprint into North County San Diego with a new office and the appointment of Dave Baldwin a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM, Author, and U.S. Navy Veteran.
Baldwin, with 16 years of financial services experience, will lead the Vista, California division of LS Investment Management, and will apply his commitment to providing comprehensive and personalized financial planning and investment management services for residents of North County San Diego.
Dave Baldwin, CFP® began his career with an 8-year enlistment in the U.S. Navy as an electronics technician, after which he applied his passion for investing and financial planning at Waddell & Reed, where he first met LS Investment Management Principals, Beth Westburg and Laurie Lipman. Baldwin continued his career with Ivy Funds, the institutional investment management arm of Waddell & Reed as a regional vice president and external wholesaler as well as a financial advisor with Edward Jones.
In 2019, Baldwin published “The Balancing Act,” to help readers understand the psychology of spending and to guide people through the challenges of budgeting with practical steps to achieve their financial goals.
“Beth and Laurie took me under their wing many years ago when we met at Waddell & Reed. As mentors, friends, and practically sisters, they taught me the importance of maintaining strong relationships. I’m very excited at the opportunity to officially join their team and expand their commitment to personalized financial services in North County San Diego,” said Baldwin.

Dave, his wife, Andrea and their two children reside in Oceanside, California, where they are actively engaged in their local community. Dave serves as a board member of the Vista Chamber of Commerce; he and his wife lead a weekly bible study at North Coast Church in Vista and Dave also coaches his son’s soccer team.
