Oceanside, CA – A community-wide gathering for prayer for local, state, and national government officials, civic leaders, and community needs will be happening on Thursday, May 2, from 6:00 – 7:15 pm. This year’s annual event will take place at a new location, Oceanside’s El Corazon Senior Center, 3302 Senior Center Drive, in the courtyard area.
Various church pastors and other civic leaders, including Mayor Esther Sanchez, will be participating in the 2024 Oceanside National Day of Prayer program, as well as the USMC Jr. ROTC Color Guard from El Camino High School, and an area worship band. This inspirational event is free to the general public.
Similar events to pray for our country and its citizens, our elected officials and church leaders have been held since the founding years of the United States, and now traditionally are scheduled for the first Thursday in May annually. In case of rain, the program will be moved inside to a meeting room. Chairs and bottled water will be provided. Ample free parking at the El Corazon Senior Center also is available.
