Oceanside – Joining in on this date with cities all across America, Oceanside will host it’s first evening time-frame National Day of Prayer event (since before the COVID pandemic) on Thursday, May 4th, at 6:00 p.m. This unique, community-wide gathering for prayers and worship will take place at the Heritage Park, located at 220 Peyri Drive, Oceanside 92057, near the large gazebo.
Various church pastors and other civic leaders will be participating in this year’s Oceanside National Day of Prayer program, as well as the ROTC Color Guard from El Camino High School and an area worship band. Similar events to pray for our nation, state, and city and our leaders have been held since the founding years of the United States, and now traditionally are scheduled for the first Thursday in May annually. It is anticipated that the event will conclude at approximately 7:15 p.m. Chairs and bottled water will be provided. Ample free parking at Heritage Park also is available.
