Mayor Judy Ritter delivered her State of the City Address on Monday, January 27, 2020 during the Vista Chamber of Commerce State of the Community program. The event was held at the Vista Civic Center.
The Address highlighted several of the City’s past year’s significant accomplishments, including the start of the Paseo Santa Fe Phase II improvements, the $3.5 million dollars invested in local streets improvements to prolong the surface life of city roads, the City’s efforts in renovating and upgrading city parks, and that the crime rate in Vista was again down in 2019.
An excerpt from the Mayor’s speech: “Looking ahead, we have incredible projects and opportunities before us. I am confident the results of our previous work will continue to serve as a steady and lasting foundation for building a stronger and more prosperous city. At the dawn of this new decade, let us embrace our vibrant community; our thriving economy and energized downtown, our amazing businesses; our healthy environment; and pledge to continue providing a responsible government ready to build a stronger and more prosperous city for our residents.”
