CHICO, Calif. – Cal State San Marcos men’s soccer players Raul Meza and Tyler Schrock have been named All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honorable mentions, the league announced on Thursday morning.
Meza ended the season with three goals, six points, 10 shots and four shots on goal in 15 games played. The sophomore defender had the highest shooting percentage on the team at .300. Meza scored his first goal of the season against Cal Poly Pomona while taking two shots. His second goal came in CSUSM’s 3-1 win over Stanislaus State while his third goal came in the Cougars’ home finale against Chico State.
Schrock ended his sophomore season with one goal, one assist, 24 shots and seven shots on goal. The midfielder’s lone goal came in CSUSM’s 3-0 win over Humboldt State while his assist happened in CSUSM’s double-overtime win to end the season at Cal State Dominguez Hills.
Meza and Schrock become the eighth and ninth Cougars in program history to earn All-CCAA honors since joining the league in 2015. This is the first time since 2016 that CSUSM has placed at least two players on the All-CCAA roster.
