On June 28, 2020, at approximately 6:17 p.m., deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, San Marcos Station Traffic Division, responded to a report of a collision involving a motorcycle and a 2 door Acura sedan, in the parking lot at 150 S Bent Ave, in the city of San Marcos.
Based on the preliminary investigation, it was determined that the motorcyclist was traveling northbound in the parking lot while another vehicle was traveling westbound in the parking lot. The motorcycle struck the driver’s side of the vehicle, ejecting the motorcyclist from the bike. The 23-year-old motorcyclist sustained non-life threatening, but serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The occupants of the Acura were not injured.
Alcohol and/or drugs were determined to not a factor in the collision. The San Marcos Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
