Vista has a new go-to breakfast and lunch spot for residents and anyone wanting a new delicious eatery location to try as AM Goodness Café has opened in the former Dairy Queen location at the corner of S Santa Fe Dr. and Postal Way. Owners Gonzolo Nunez and wife Maria and son Junior have been serving delicious meals for the past two months and are planning a Grand Opening soon. Gonzolo worked at various Swami’s locations for over 20 years before deciding it was time to venture out and open his own place. Junior spoke about their family’s desire to provide quality food with no cutting corners in the preparation. He said they want to provide a friendly atmosphere for families, and anyone entering their restaurant and want to make everyone feel welcome.
AM Goodness Café has an extensive breakfast and lunch menu. The menu includes 8 different Omelette choices ranging from the traditional to selections like the Ensenada or the Santa Fe turkey or one called 3 Pigs that includes bacon, ham and pork. They also offer six Benedict selections including the traditional Benedict and Benedicts like the Lobster or the South of the Border or the Steak Benedict or the Lox Benedict. Also on the menu is Corn Beef Hash, Chicken Fried Steak, Hash Chorizo and Chilaquiles with Rojo or Verdes sauce. Gonzolo also prepared a New York Steak Chilaquiles to show the variety of the breakfast menu.
Seven different Scramble dishes are offered including The Vista, The California and The Vista Combo as well as a Croissant Breakfast. For those wanting something sweeter there are a variety of French Toast selections that also includes Stuffed and Nutella. Anyone wanting a Breakfast Burrito has four to choose from including the California and the Mexican. Eight different pancake selections are on the menu. The Blueberry pancake is huge as is the Banana Walnut. The special for the month is the Pumpkin Pecan Pancake. A variety of other specials are offered at the front counter.
As you enter the café and walk toward the front counter, the large menu is available for you to look over before you order and pay for your selection at the counter. Coffee is available by taking a cup and getting your coffee next to the main counter. Other drink selections will be brought to your table except soda which is available in a dispenser.
If it’s lunch you want, AM Goodness Café also has an extensive lunch menu. Nine different sandwiches are offered such as the Reuben, the BLTA and a Guacamole Turkey Melt. Nine burger selections are also offered ranging from a traditional to the Swiss Mountain Burger or a Hawaiian Burger or a Blue Cheeseburger or a Roasted Jalapeno Beef Burger. The Café offers wraps like the Club Wrap or a Cajun Salmon Caesar Wrap as well as seven different salads like either a Tropical Salmon or Shrimp Salad of a Steak Salad or a Tuna Ahi Salad. Different Soups are on the menu as is a Smashed Avo Toast selection

You will defiantly not go hungry at AM Goodness Café and when you enter you will receive a friendly greeting and will be warmly welcomed with all of your questions answered. The Café is open from 7 AM until 2:30 PM each day and is located at 1031 A S Santa Fe Dr. and Postal Way corner. Try this new eating spot in Vista and I guarantee you will keep coming back to try something else on the large menu.
